Dear Friends,

We have 450 land-based Minuteman III nuclear missiles on high alert.  Despite hundreds of near-disasters due to human and mechanical mistakes over the years, these nuclear-armed missiles could be sent by a U.S. president in 13 minutes or less.  Thirteen minutes, with the very real possibility that false information, an electronic glitch or bad signal, or an error in human judgment, would bring the world as we know it to an end.

Chapter President John Amidon will be joining the Western Shoshone Mother's Day Walk and Run in Nevada and invites VFP Southern California, Nevada, Arizona, and New Mexico to support our Western Shoshone Brothers and Sisters!

We have changed our VFP meeting place and time. We are meeting at the Hudson River Coffee House, 227 Quail Street in Albany. Our next meeting is Monday, March 19, 2012 at 9 AM.  Dan Wilcox will be conducting the meeting. Check with Dan if you have any questions or concerns. Paz, John
