Dinner planning is coming along well. We now need to call our friends and neighbors to insure a good turn out for our awards dinner and party. October 15 at Evans Public House is going to be a great time. Please attend. See the Tom Paine Awards Dinner section for complete information.

Our next VFP meeting is Monday, October 19th, 2009 at the VA Hospital on Holland Ave. in Albany. We meet at 7 PM at the Ann Wilson Lounge, 4th floor. Our meetings are always held on the third Monday of each month and we encourage our members and friends to attend. We are particularly hopeful that Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans will join us and become members of IVAW, VFP, or both.

There is no shortage of work to be done. While the Obama administration is clearly an improvement over the criminal regime of Bush/Chenney and company, it is clear he needs our help particularly concerning Afghanistan and foreign policy in general. Mr. President, it is time to end the war and bring the troops home now!

As previously mentioned, I hope to post our meetings minutes and other useful information, along with musings, ramblings and rants when the mood or muse tempts such postings.
